Japanese as a Foreign Language (0716)

The Cambridge IGCSE Japanese syllabus is designed for learners who are learning Japanese as a foreign language.

The syllabus develops learners’ ability to use the language effectively for practical communication. The course is based on the linked language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing, and these are built upon as learners progress through their studies.

The course also provides insights into the culture of countries where Japanese is spoken, encouraging positive attitudes towards language learning and towards speakers of other languages.
